Mobile money service provider MTN, with over 95% share of the mobile money market, has recognised and awarded appsNmobile Solutions Limited for the role it has played since introduction of mobile money services into the country.
At a dinner held in Accra to mark the 10th anniversary of MTN mobile money in Ghana, appsNmobile Solutions Limited, a young wholly Ghanaian-owned company, was awarded as Emerging and Innovative Fintech Partner for its contribution and support in the success of MTN Mobile Money in Ghana. The company was recognised for leveraging innovative methods which delight customers while promoting excellent customer experience at the same time.
Commenting on the award, the CEO of appsNmobile Solutions Limited, Richard Bansah, was very excited about the recognition received from MTN. He said that right from inception appsNmobile Solution had set a target to distinguish itself with very innovative solutions, and it is heartwarming that the company’s efforts have been recognised by MTN.
Some of the products to have been developed by the leading fintech include the Virtual Point of Sale (VPOS), which is a USSD point of sale application that enables every category of institution – be it shops, churches or OMCs – to receive payments. Also, the Golden Tree platform was developed to enable companies purchase produce from farmers and pay them safely with audit trails using mobile money. In addition, Tricklz was developed to offer the average Ghanaian without access to credit a chance to shop and pay for items in instalments.
Mr. Bansah is confident that large enterprises will begin to gain trust in Ghanaian Fintechs and mobile money generally in the coming years to spur the industry’s growth.
He also thanked the B&FT for featuring his company on Inspiring Startups – a page the paper has designated to give startups the necessary media exposure – as it has gone a long way to add credibility to his business and give him the exposure he needs.
