The annual Radford University College (RUC) Graduate Fashion Show which was officially outdoored a couple of months ago at the University Campus in Accra is set to take place at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra on Saturday 26th May, 2018 at 3pm.
Speaking with journalists at the University, the Acting Head of Fashion Design Department of the University, Mr. Stephen Adamtey said each of the 16 graduates expected to participate in the show was given an opportunity to choose a theme and look at our environment to select an item that should reflect on each of the 10 products they will put on during the show and will also be exhibited.
The exhibition, he explained will precede a real round-way walk by the models. He further explained that the 16 graduates have endured both physical and psychological orientation to enable them perform well. Wooden he said assisted the event with fabrics.
According to Mr. Adamtey invitations have been extended to Equatorial Guinea and US Embassies and also British High Commission and many high profile people.
The Head of Graphic Design Department of the University, Mrs. Farah Hamoui said her outfit works in close collaboration with the Fashion Design Department by providing back–stage banners, tickets, bags, brochures and all communication elements needed to enhance the beauty and success of the event.
The core objective of the show is to expose the creativity of the graduates to the International Community and also enable them set up their own businesses and create employment avenues.
