Gov’t to rake in GH₵500m from tax evasion

Finance Minister,Ken Ofori Atta has indicated that government is expecting to rake in a over GH500m from tax evasion, as part of efforts to ensure tax compliance.

Presenting the 2018 Mid-year review budget, Mr. Ofori Atta stated that a special taskforce in collaboration with the Ghana Revenue Authority will intensify their tax collection drive.

“We have outlined over GH₵500m of taxes that have been evaded” he told Parliament during the mid-year review budget on Thursday.
