The Africa China Union (ACU), a platform of Chinese businesses, says it is open for business to link over 15,000 manufacturers and suppliers from China to local businesses and prospective investors in Ghana to promote trade.

The platform is a new business model that relies on the Internet with big data to manage Chinese manufactured goods and services, so as to combine with substantial access to sales in African markets.

Speaking at a press soiree to outline Sky Team Ghana’s [a subsidiary of African Chinese Business Alliance Ghana] vision and outdoor some of its portfolio to the Ghanaian market, the Managing Director – Daniel Dwamena – maintained that it is keen to establish itself on the local market, promote a win-win cooperation and create a better future.

“Sky Team is a company looking to bridge the investment gap between opportunities that we have in the African continent, Ghana specifically and within the large Chinese market, oftentimes we have traders who want to buy stuff in China but are hesitant because they don’t know if they are dealing with the right people.

“For us to be able to create an opportunity and environment for people to trade freely and in an open environment, that is why Sky Team has come up with Africa China Union to be able to bridge that gap.”

He explained that they refer to ACU as ‘Africa’s alibaba’ because alibaba is prominent; or Amazon, where people are able to leverage over 15,000 manufacturers that are on its platform to be able to buy in peace and confidence, knowing that there is a local representative they can have a recourse to if the product they order is not exactly what they get.

Already, Sky Team Ghana is on the verge of completing a cylinder-manufacturing company in Kumasi, and according to Mr. Dwamena its first production will be rolled out by end of the year.

Similarly, a sugar factory at Sogakope – which is already constructed – is expected to churn out its products in 18-months.

ACU, founded in 2016 at Ningbo, China, is a platform that has nearly 15,000 manufacturing suppliers from China and tens of thousands of quality goods made in China.

China exports a wide range of cost-effective goods to the African market to meet the living and economic needs of the African people.

The new ACU has strong support from the Chinese government. It is a well-known platform recommended and supported by the China International Finance Promotion Association, Ningbo Commerce Bureau and other listed groups such as Sino Great Wall and Lantian Dacheng Building.
