The Ghana Tourism Authority is set to organise a corporate paragliding dubbed ‘Fun and Fly’ paragliding Festival 2018 at the Odweanoma Mountains, Atibie in Kwahu from Friday, September 28 to Sunday, September 30.

The ‘Fun and Fly’ paragliding, which is the second to be organised this year, is part of activities lined up to commemorate the United Nations (UN) World Tourism Day celebration slated for September 27.

Celebrated annually, the UN World Tourism Day highlights the potential of tourism as a valuable source of livelihood for millions of people among member countries.

A statement from the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) noted that the paragliding event is also targeted at corporate entities and other organizations to take time off their busy schedules, network with each other and create bonds of relationships.

“It is expected that due to the expansion of the take-off site and provision of washroom and sitting area for guests, a lot of corporate organisations will participate in this important event to relieve them of some stressful schedules at their respective workplaces.”

The statement also read that the ‘Fun and Fly’ paragliding is an opportunity for passengers, who could not fly during the Kwahu Easter Paragliding to have the experience.
