Dr. Thomas Mensah, a scientist and inventor of fibre optic technology, has urged players in the information communication technology space to pool resources in a bid to make the country a major global technology industry developer.
He made this assertion when he visited the offices of Akaditi – an Agility (Agile) services, technology, and events company – to acquaint himself with their work and also foster ties between the two companies.
Through his visit, Akaditi has now officially become a strategic partner to Silicon Valley Ghana to deepen relations between the two groups.
Akaditi has lined up an Agile in Africa Conference 2018, for 24-26th October at the Accra Digital Centre, and has pencilled Dr. Mensah as one of the keynote speakers.
Dr. Mensah, is an internationally recognised authority in fibre-optics and nanotechnology. He is a renowned scientist and inventor, with 7 USA and worldwide patents in fibre-optics achieved over a period of six years. Now he is back in Africa and has set up Silicon Valley Ghana.
Akaditi is the leading agile organisation in Africa and has three key focus areas: agile services, new tech development and global events.
Government has expressed its desire to transform Ghana’s economy through the use of Information Communication Technology in all spheres of national life.
It is keen to provide opportunities for Ghanaians, especially students, to acquire cutting-edge knowledge in ICT to drive the digitisation agenda and improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
