Wienco Ghana, producers of Aduanehene premium local rice, as part of its contribution to the celebration of Eid al Fitr and the end of Ramadan has donated bags of rice to the Office of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu.
The company last week donated 20 bags of Aduanehene 50kg as well as 10 boxes of 1kg Aduanehene rice at a brief presentation ceremony at the Office of the National Chief Imam.
Making the presentation, Dominic Duku, Marketing Manager, Wienco Ghana congratulated on a successful Ramadan adding that he is confident that whatever intercession made by muslims during the fast will no doubt push the country a step further achieving its potential.
Mr. Duku stated that as has been the practice for Wienco over the years, it is celebrating the Eid with Muslims across the country and they are hopeful that their contribution would go a long way to support the entire celebrations.
He appealed to the Chief Imam to use his office to court Ghanaians to support and patronise made-in-Ghana products like Aduanehene which is grown and produced locally.
Asking to the Chief Imam to offer prayers for Aduanehene rice and other products, Mr, Duku averred that as many Ghanaian Muslims are going to celebrate the festive season, they will remember to buy quality rice and other products which are locally produced.
Speaking after the presentation, the Chief Imam Nuru Sharubutu thanked the company for its gesture adding that the company’s thoughts towards the celebration of the Eid is greatly appreciated.
He argued that it is in the country’s own interest to patronise locally made products like Aduanehene which he said created jobs for the teeming youth.
The Chief Imam said he would use his office to urge the consumption of locally made rice not only in the Eid celebrations which will be marked on June 15, but all year round due to its immense benefits to the country’s economy.
To Aduanehene Marketing Manager, Aduanehene is leading the production of quality made-in-Ghana Jasmine rice on the market; thus, Aduanehene supports local farmers and creates sustainable livelihood through the provision of agricultural inputs, milling process and market.
