Accra Brewery Limited, on Wednesday, donated cases of its non-alcoholic malt, Beta Malt, to the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, toward the celebration of the Eid ul Fitr Festival (the festival of the breaking of the fast).
At the short ceremony attended by representatives of ABL, the products – which comprised both the 330ml returnable glass bottles (RGB) and plastic bottles of Beta Malt, were provided to congratulate all Muslims for a successful month of Ramadan. Further, the representatives noted that Ramadan is not only a month of abstinence from food but also from negative thoughts and deeds, preaching harmony among one another; and is also used as the platform to advise the youth to abstain from social vices while striving to achieve their dreams.
Accepting the items, The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, thanked Accra Brewery Limited for the kind gesture and used the opportunity to pray for the entire nation – appealing to Muslims to bridge the gap between the rich and poor by way of giving to the needy and less-privileged in society and wishing the Muslim community a happy Eid Mubarak.
Portia Offei Asare, Brands Manager for Beta Malt, also seized the opportunity to thank consumers for their continued patronage of Beta Malt – first launched in PET and now complemented by the returnable glass bottle, suitable for different occasions. She further went on to encourage Ghanaians in the pursuit of their dreams, to help improve and maintain the peace we are already enjoying during and after Ramadan while enjoying Beta Malt, a true malt comprised of vitamins and minerals, throughout the joyous season and beyond.
