NIB supports Kumasi Children’s Home

The National Investment Bank (NIB) has donated assorted items valued at about GH¢30,000 to the Kumasi Children’s Home. The donation is in line with the bank’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The occasion was also used to clean-up the rooms and premises of the orphanage. The Head of the Ashanti/Brong Ahafo Zonal Office of NIB, Mr. Richard Antwi, said the support given to the Children’s Home is a way of giving back to the community.

He added that NIB is passionate about the well-being of children because they are the future leaders of every nation.

He explained that it is important to help deprived and abandoned children. This, he said, is to give them a better chance of becoming responsible adults and future leaders as is expected of them.

The Deputy Social Welfare Director of Ashanti Region, Madam Love Christy Adu – and other officials who received the items, expressed gratitude to NIB for the gesture and appealed for continuous support.

She said, most times, the orphanage receives donations of items but lacks the cash needed to take care of other expenses at the orphanage, and hence called on other organisations to emulate NIB.
