The marathon free health screening outreach initiated by PBC Ltd. in partnership with Chemico Ltd, New Okaff Industries Ltd., and Rainbow Agrosciences has ended successfully with more than 2000 beneficiaries served.

The initiative targeted cocoa and mixed-crop farmers in Goaso and Wamfie districts, and was structured as a free health screening exercise cum mini-fair conceived by PBC Ltd. and the aforementioned sponsors.

The collaboration mainly hinged on the need to promote preventive healthcare among farmers while creating an avenue for effectual farmer/input dealer interaction.

The sponsors, Chemico Ltd., New Okaff Industries Ltd. and Rainbow Agrosciences took advantage of the mini-fair to make snap sales as farmers trooped to their respective exhibition stands to access discounted products. The sponsors exhibited a wide range of agro-input products ranging from fertilisers to pesticides.

As part of the main event structure, all sponsors took turns to sensitise farmers on the importance of strict adherence to stipulated guidelines for the safe administration of agrochemical products, and the hazards which can result from improper handling of such products.
