As at 13th June 2020, Ghana has recorded 11,964 positive cases of Coronavirus, since the country registered its first two cases in March.

The number of deaths stands at 54, with 6 persons in critical condition and currently being monitored at various health facilities.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo, in his 11th address to the nation on the pandemic, noted that, even though the numbers keep going up, it is also worth noting that the ratio of deaths to positive cases remain lower, as compared to other countries.

“The increase in numbers indicate that the virus has spread and continue to spread. We have to bear in mind at all time, that the more people we test, the more people will test positive,” he added.

“The government continues to monitor the progress of the virus,” the President assured, urging all to continue observing personal hygiene and social distancing protocols to control further spread.
