Four kids win GH¢100,000 from Access Bank Perfect Start Promo

Four kids out of the top-seven finalists in the Access Bank Perfect Start Promo have received a share of GH¢100,000 cash and other prizes for emerging as winners of the promotion.

The Perfect Start Promo is the first-ever digital promo of the bank targetted at kids to promote financial literacy and inclusion among children from an early age.

The promo came at the back of the bank’s kid’s savings account – early savers, also aimed at fuelling the dreams of young ones while providing the platform to learn, unearth and nurture their creative talents.

The overall winner of the promo received a cash prize of GH¢50,000; the first runner-up received GH¢20,000; and the second runner-up received GH¢10,000 while the others received undisclosed cash prize and diverse gifts.

The Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Mr. Olumide Olatunji, in a statement encouraged parents to inculcate the habit of saving into their children.

“Today, we celebrate and present the promised reward to our top-4 mega-prize winners with their share of the over-GH¢100,000 in prize money, as well as reward children who displayed their exceptional talents in the Access Got Talent Competition,” he said

Also, the Group Head of Retail Banking, Mrs. Yvonne Antonio, stressed the need for parents to save for the future of their children.

“I encourage you parents not to renege on the good work you have started, but to keep saving for the future of these bright stars. I hope you will be ambassadors of Access Bank, encouraging other parents to save for their children,” she said.

She added that: “The good book says a good man leaves an inheritance for his children. In the same vein, I can’t agree more with the Akan adage that says ‘Agoro Bɛsɔ a, efiri anɔpa” – meaning if the festival (or carnival or party) is to be entertaining, it starts from the morning. I am therefore excited about the fact these parents have chosen to inculcate the habit of saving in their children at an early stage. The ripple-effect of this decision on the future of these children cannot be overemphasised”.

Mrs. Antonio assured that though the promo has come to an end, the early savers will still receive the utmost attention to encourage them to continue saving.

Over 10,000 children have participated in the Perfect Start Promo, since its inception in September 2020, and 470 children have been rewarded over the course of the promo through their engagements in fun and rewarding activities.
