Broll Ghana supports GRAFT Foundation to purchase blood suction machine

Broll Ghana Limited has as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) made an unspecified amount of cash donation to Ghana Reconstruction of Anomaly and Trauma Fund (GRAFT) Foundation

Speaking to B&FT at a short ceremony to present the cash donation on Wednesday, 06 October 2021, Kenneth O. Mensah, Head Valuation and Advisory Services at Broll Ghana Ltd, said the donation was to help the foundation purchase a blood suction machine (a type of medical device that is primarily used for removing obstructions — like mucus, saliva, blood, or secretions — from a person’s airway.)

“Broll Ghana Limited has a corporate policy of supporting companies, organizations that are making a good impact in the company and as part of our corporate social responsibility this year, we identified GRAFT Foundation who we know have been making good impacts in helping to do reconstructive surgeries to people who normally cannot afford to do such surgeries,” he added.

Elated by the gesture, the Project Director who’s also the Managing Director of GRAFT Foundation, Dr Brainerd Anani, said: “The truth is a lot of these people cannot genuinely afford to pay for the surgeries and so, if we don’t have people to support then it becomes difficult.

“And, this will go a long way to help us in what we do. Especially, with the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the country, it has been difficult and because of that, we are not able to help a lot more people due to a lack of adequate resources. We believe that with gestures like these a lot more people can benefit.”

Dr Anani, therefore, called on other corporate organisations to emulate Broll Ghana Limited and support the work of the foundation.

Graft Foundation was founded by the Chairman, Dr Kwame Abrokwaa-Yankyera, former Head of the Plastic Surgery and Burns unit of 37 Military Hospital, Accra and managed by Dr Brainerd Anani, who acts as the Managing Director and Projects Director.

Over 1,000 lives have been changed through the Hope Projects and ECOWAS Compassion Outreaches organized by GRAFT Foundation. The Hope Projects organized by the foundation has been held in all 16 regions of Ghana in districts and regional hospitals across the country.

The Ecowas Compassion Outreach also changed the lives of poor people with deformities in La Cote D’Ivoire and hope to extend the services to other West African Countries.
