HMD organises bubble football for staff, clients and customers
HMD Heavy Machinery Dealership, over the weekend organised an innovative bubble football competition - a football game where players put on inflated balloons, for staff, clients, partners and customers, as part of efforts to keep fit and fraternise with its various stakeholders.
The event saw 16 different teams from different companies compete in five-aside matches for the ultimate trophy and bragging rights.
In the final game involving Empire Concrete and Movis, the former defeated the latter by a goal to nil to win the competition and take home the trophy.
Matthew Khouri, Chief Executive Officer of HMD Africa, expressed satisfaction with the turn up and participation at the event.
“We wanted to have a fun event where our suppliers, customers and sports lovers can enjoy a wonderful day and work out. The idea is not new, it has been around for a couple of years.
I impressed with what I have seen today, we had more than 700 people here, which far exceeded our expectations,” he added.
“It is a team bonding event which we practice all over the world, so we decided to bring it down here and it turned out to be a good idea,” he noted.
He added: “We have seen that people like the games, so probably the next one will involve universities, a bigger crowd and better organisation. We are still learning but hopefully we will involve more of the Ghanaian community, especially schools in future.”
