Rousing welcome for Prez in Northern region

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has received a rousing welcome into the Northern regional capital.
The President who was received by the students of Wulugu senior high school that had lined up since early morning were happy to see the President.
While some were showing gratitude to the President for the free SHS,others were singing welcome songs.
Similar happened at Walewale where both second cycle and basic students were lined up to welcome the President.
Meanwhile, the President has indicated that government would develop a clear policy on how to prevent future fire outbreaks in ghana.
"It is time these incidence came to a stop in Ghana we cannot continue with them" he stated.
The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo said this at a Thanksgiving service at the Anglican church in Tamale.
Fortunately cabinet would be meeting on Thursday and I believe out of that meeting, you will know what our programme designed for future occurrence to bring such incidence to a stop.
According to him,he has asked the Vice President to visit the scene and some of the victims to ascertain the issue.
He called for prayers for all those involved in the fire tragedy in Accra on Saturday night.
We pray for them and the souls of the departed ones that the Almighty will give them the strength in this crisis period.
He said what happened yesterday was pathetic and government would make frantic effort to ensure the right things are done.
He noted the government would make sure the policies succeed to make yesterday's incident becomes a thing of the past.
Revisit paradigm shift of faith based schools
The Rgt Rev Dr Jacob Kofi Ayeebo the Bishop of the Anglican Dioceses of Tamale commended government for the various initiatives to enhance the economic development of Ghana.
He appealed to government to revisit the paradigm shift of the faith based schools that have been taken from the religious bodies.
According to him it is affecting the performance of the school children.Our God has appointed you to be our president and therefore the need to allow the spirit of God to lead him in governing the country he said.
He encouraged the President and his entourage to draw closer to God and rule the country fairly yo benefit all irrespective of background.
