Parliament approves over Ghc2bn in budget estimates for MDAs
Parliament continues to approve budgetary estimations for ministries, departments and agencies to execute government business for the 2017 fiscal year.
On Friday, the house approved over Ghc2billion for five Ministries including Employment and Labour Relations(Ghc60,708,078.00),Trade and Industry(Ghc269,135,747.00), Roads and Highways(Ghc871,222,971.00),Defence(Ghc821,772,913.00),Energy(Ghc889,710,134.00).
Parliament is expected to rise next week Friday(31st April,2017) and the need to approve all outstanding budget estimates remains critical.
Some of the outstanding bills include Earmarked Funds Capping and Realignment Bill,2017, estimates for the Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Gender and Social Protection among a host of others.
The House will also begin the vetting of deputy ministers nominees next week, in what promises to be a busy week for the legislature.
