B&FT honoured at Ghana Start-Up Awards
The Business and Financial Times (B&FT) was last night honoured at the 6th edition of the Premium Bank Ghana Startup awards, held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
The newspaper was recognised for its contribution to helping young entrepreneurs and businesses in Ghana with its dedicated column for startups which provides relevant business information, personality and company profiles for these businesses, giving them a great amount of exposure to the business community.
Receiving the award on behalf of the organization, Obed Attah Yeboah, writer for the “Inspiring Start-Ups” column in the B&FT newspaper, commended the organisers for a well-planned event and pledged the paper’s continued support for startups in Ghana.
“This is a great initiative to help recognize the efforts of young people in business. B&FT will continue to support start-ups in Ghana in our own small way by profiling these young entrepreneurs and their businesses to motivate them pursue higher heights”, he said.
The event was organized by The African Network of Entrepreneurs with support from Premium Bank and is aimed at giving start-ups the much needed support and exposure to enable them grow into successful businesses and become globally competitive.
A host of young Ghanaian entrepreneurs were awarded in various categories on the night including media, agriculture, health, education, fintech and technology. Others were inducted into the Ghana Startup Club 100.
