Ada communities benefit from annual Cowbell CSR activities

Seven schools and a health facility in Pedoatorkope in Ada, in the Greater Accra Region, have benefitted from the annual CSR –related activities by Promasidor Ghana Ltd., producers of Cowbell Milk Drink and other products.

The gesture, which has been held since 2003, is geared toward equipping inhabitants with various essentials, especially in the areas of health and education, as well as fortifying longstanding ties between the company and indigenes.

The donation, made at a beautiful ceremony on Saturday April 22nd, comprised assorted supplies such as building materials, laptops, printers, exercise books and other educational materials, a Polytank, lamps, sports items, a fibre boat fitted with an engine to help transport staff to their posts, hospital supplies, food items among others.

The beneficiaries include the Pedoatorkope D/A Basic School, Atortorkope Basic School, Aflive Basic School, Alorkpeme Community Basic School, Tuankope D/A KG/ Primary School, Azizakpe D/A Primary School, and the Pedeatorkope Health Center.

Presenting the items, MD of Promasidor Ltd., Dirk Lareanmars, who also serves as Development Chief of the area, reiterated his outfit’s affection for the people of the community, as well as its commitment to fighting erosion which is threatening the shores of Ada.

“The erosion is a pity for us of course, but it’s a pity for a lot of people who lost their houses, and so we decided to do something about it. We have invested over GH¢400,000 in erosion protection. I believe we are doing our best to stop the erosion,” he said.

He also stressed what a key role education plays in improving the fates of deprived communities as the Ada islands. It is for this reason, he said, that his company is determined to support as much as possible.

“Without schooling, without education, we are going nowhere, and I strongly believe in that. With isolated communities like the islands, it’s even more important to support them,” he added.

Nene Pediator IV, receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiary communities, was full of praise and gratitude to Promasidor for their relentless support over the years.

Promasidor operates in various regions across the continent, and in Ghana, has steadily become a leading name in the food and beverage space. Recently, the company broke the Guinness World Record for the longest feast table ever set with their popular culinary product ONGA.
