ADISCO Annual Dinner Dance comes off
The Adisadel Old Boys Association reminisce, cheered and serenaded themselves to good music and sang the school’s anthem to boot at this year’s 2016 Annual Dinner Dance.
Santaclausians of old and new, all converged at the plush La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra for the dinner dance which is arguably the largest gathering outside the school, afforded them the opportunity to personally participate in discussions on the school, reunite with friends and school mates, created networking opportunities and fundraising efforts among others.
MCs for the night were Nii KpakpoThompson (Monforfor) Santa'98 and Richmond Oduro Kwarteng (Billy Ocean) Santa' 91 and Oceans TV fame and they didn’t disappoint as they brought down the house with their occasional jokes and gimmicks to liven up patrons.
Hiplife star, Trigmatic was also on point when he took to the stage to do a line or two of his songs, drawing the younger generation to also rap along to his songs.
Plaques were awarded to distinguished old boys from various year groups for their contribution to the school’s cause over the years.
Equally eye catching on the night were the dance moves exhibited by some of the old boys especially the older generations from the 60s,70’s, 80’s and through the 90’s, as they danced the nite away to music provided by the SANTA band.
Organisers were excited about the event and are hopeful, next year would even turn out bigger.
National Executive Committee (NEC) President, Kojo Yankah stated that it was a memorable and joyous occasion having to reunite the Santaclausian family and forging the Adisadel spirit into the next generation.
He entreated old boys of the school to be more committed to the cause and work of the school as it aims to consolidate and assist the school in diverse ways.
All proceeds of the event are also expected to go towards the development of the school.
