Rattray Park to host maiden Dwapa festival
A newly created trade fair, dubbed: ‘Dwapa Festival’, aimed at bringing over 100 businesses together to exhibit their products is scheduled to take place at the plush Rattray Park, Kumasi, on December 17 and 18.
This festival is so to create a platform for buyers and sellers, and family members to have a place to relax and enjoy some music, food, and to celebrate cultural exchanges.
The festival is also expected to attract over 15,000 shoppers across the country ahead of the Christmas season as some of the displayed products will offer up to 80percent discount to buyers.
The Programme Coordinator of the event, Afia Serwaa Frimpong, said the choice of the garden city as the venue of the event is to introduce something that will bring the people of Kumasi together to experience something new.
A variety of products, including foods, beverages, fashion, jewelleries, and many more locally produced goods are expected to be on display.
The two-day event is the first of series of events to be hosted around the country in the coming months.
Ms. Afia Serwaa is therefore calling on all interested businesses who wish to take part of the event to register with the organisers.
