Africa

Dear Mother Africa,
Beautiful art thou, clothed in riches and wealth untold. You are indeed graceful to behold in all your splendor and Melany.

I see a glimmer of hope in you where we all individually and collectively start working on our inner demons, accepting them for what they are, and healing ourselves. Facing our inner fears rather than projecting our fears unto each other.

I see a glimmer of hope in you where we stop outsmarting each other in a negative way but rather we see the best in ourselves, in each other, and offer help in any way possible.

I see a glimmer of hope in you where our leaders take on the position of power to serve rather than to amass wealth for themselves.

Indeed, I see a glimmer of hope in you where poverty has nothing on us because we work hard and we work smart. We use our brains to make things work for us instead of using our brains to pull each other down.

Dear Mother Africa,
You are so beautiful to behold, you are full of love and grace. You open your arms to all and think no evil of the foreigner, but you so easily give your power away, thinking someone has to save you; maybe that is your savior. You have been hurt so many times and you have been broken but you still fight on. You are my graceful warrior, full of power and might. I hope you decide today to take your power back.

Self-accountability and responsibility look so beautiful on you. I have so much hope and believe in you that you will decide to wake up today knowing that this battle is not just for you but for posterity.

We fight to win for posterity

We fight the battle which is in our minds.

Long live Mother Africa.
