President-elect Trump sets out his vision in his victory speech. He said “Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential," [……] the forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our infrastructure, which will become, by the way, second to none.”
He added: “We will get along with all other nations willing to get along with us. We will get along fairly with everyone," and seek "partnership, not conflict."
Trump promised a competent government under his regime. He said: “I promise you, I will not let you down, we’ll do a great job.”
His victory comes at a time where media reports predicted widely the victory of Mrs. Clinton as president before the elections. He won 28 out of the 50 U.S states including Pennsylvania and Wisconsin states that have not supported a Republican presidential candidate since 1988 and 1984 respectively.
