NDK partners The Trust Hospital to fight breast cancer

NDK Financial Services has partnered with “The Well Woman Clinic” under The Trust Hospital, to create awareness on breast cancer, its detection and treatment, in this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Last year, NDK Financial Services and The Trust Hospital screened about 1,250 women in the Breast Cancer Awareness Drive as a joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

This year, NDK Financial Services and The Trust Hospital are aiming to screen about 3,000 women in various communities before end of the campaign.

The campaign seeks to contribute to the total wellness and development of its staff, customers and other stakeholders.

As part of the activities, there will be talks and screening programmes from October 3-25, 2017. Tuesday, 3rd October marked the screening exercise’s beginning at the Adentan branch of the Trust Clinic followed by another one on Wednesday, 11th October at the Adentan Shopping Mall – Adentan Housing Down.

On Friday 13th October, free screening will the take place at the Osu branch of NDK Financial Services followed by Wednesday 18th October at the Mensah Sarbah Hall – University of Ghana. The final free health screening on breast cancer will take place on Wednesday 25th October at the NDK Financial Services – Tema Branch.

According to NDK, through initiatives like these the fight to reduce the number of breast cancer cases in Ghana can be achieved. They called on all stakeholders to join in the campaign of creating awareness on breast cancer - especially in the month of October.
