Ilani Kids holds maiden parenting seminar this weekend
Ilani Kids, an institution that seeks to make parenting much easier by bringing quality products and services to the doorstep of parents, it is set to hold the first parenting workshop this weekend at Sonant Court Hotel, East Legon, Accra.
The programme, which will hold onSaturday, 8th July, 2017, in collaboration with Tell It Moms, aims at providing awareness for parents about the importance of their roles in the life of their children and the society as whole.
Also, it seeks to help parents deal with some of the stresses associated with parenting, bearing in mind society’s major challenge of raising well-rounded children in these modern times.
Under the theme ‘Parenting: The Old, The New, The Truth’, the event, a first of its kind, is expecting 80-150 participants across mothers, fathers, teachers, care givers and all forms of guardians
The Ilani team noted that with changing trends in society which has led to so many parents being emotionally and physically unavailable, it is important that an event of such nature should be as often as it can be and also successful.
Yonpan Dariem Abdullahi a co-founder of Ilani Kids mentioned in a statement “Have you looked at our society today; The amount of children who have lost their ways because of imbalanced parenting? It is time for us to take the bull by the horn and support each other as parents, individuals, teachers and groups so as to have a better generation,”
They hope to make it a quarterly event, and have a major target of reaching out to all African countries before going global.
Speakers are coming from Nigeria and Ghana. They include, Dr. Nortey Dua, a clinical psychologist; Jennifer Agyeman, a Transformational Coach and CEO of Amazing-U;Pastor Oyinkansola Alabi, a certified Life Coach based in Nigeria; Apeh Harrison Iwodi, a Nigerian based Architect, Problem Solver and CEO of Minds Group; and Yasmine Ponle Okudzeto co-founder of Ilani Kids and CEO Sickle Strong Warrior Foundation Ghana.
