Eco Capital holds Investment Training for students
Eco Capital Investment Management Limited an investment and advisory firm has held training for the students of the Leadership University College for Applied Sciences “LUCAS College” to expose them to the habit of saving at a young age.
The Chief Executive of the company, Dela Agbo explained that the main focus of the training is to is explain to the students and the public that it is not too late to start saving.
“It is not too early or too late to start preparing for retirement. A lot of Ghanaians tend not to think too much about planning their retirement, they work so hard and they retire broke.
So as a company we decided to educate people about the importance of planning their retirement and save whiles they get ready for old age.”
He further explained that keeping money with microfinance is not the only investment and this calls for the training to expose participants. He also spoke about the 2017 budgets which aroused a lot of interest since most of the participants never understood what the budget really meant.
Hillar Addo, Assistant Head to the Lucas College affirmed that such trainings of this sort inspires students and participants to prepare for what is installed in the future.
He also explained that the best way of breaching the gap between unemployment and the industry is by introducing students to industry based experiences that is by brings companies and institutions the opportunities to hold presentations which will enlighten the students on what to expert in the various sectors.
Last year Eco Capital organized about six trainings across the country and will be holding about four this year, on quarterly basis.
Eco-Capital is a private limited liability Company incorporated in July 2013 and licensed by Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana. The company is also licensed by the National Pension Regulatory Authority as fund managers of the second and third tiers pension schemes.
LUCAS is a tertiary and a professional training institution which aims at breaching the gap between academia and industry. The school had accreditation last year and has already championing the growth of students by organizing trainings that will help shape their future.
