GTBank fetes 3 mums on Mothers’ Day at Fiesta Royale

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited treated three special mums to lunch at the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra to commemorate Mothers’ Day, which fell on Sunday May 14, 2017.

 

The treat for the three came as a result of a customer loyalty initiative organized by the bank dubbed “Top Up and Dine with Mum” which required customers to purchase airtime for their mothers using the bank’s *737# platform.

 

Participating customers, after purchasing airtime were then encouraged to take “selfies” with their mothers, upload the picture on any social media platform with the hashtags #gtbankgh and #737mums.

 

The top three customers with the most “likes” on their picture posts were chosen from across the various social media platforms and rewarded with the lunch package at Fiesta Royale Hotel.

 

The innovative customer reward initiative which ran from Wednesday 10th May till midnight, Friday 12th May 2017 saw three (3) customers of the bank and users of *737# platform, Rhoda Gyimah Boateng, Michael Osei and Senanu Ami Dzidzor emerge winners for the special package for themselves and their mothers.

 

Not only were they treated to mouthwatering food and drinks at the hotel, they were also presented with a hamper which included branded corporate items from GTBank and other items and a free photo shoot of mum and children, which were framed for them instantly.

 

Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank, Mr. Lekan Sanusi said the initiative was a way of putting a smile on the faces of some of the bank’s customers on a day as special as Mothers’ Day.

 

“Everyone in the world knows the significant roles played by mothers and so on a day as special and internationally recognized as Mothers’ Day, we decided to make the day special for three of our cherished customers and their mothers”, he added.

 

Group Head of Corporate Affairs of the bank, Mr. Ben Ackah-Mensah said the customer rewards initiative was also meant to encourage usage of the bank’s *737# platform amongst customers and further drum home the convenience that comes with it. “GTBank prides itself with the ability to provide reliable and convenient e-banking channels to make the lives of customers easier”.

 

“We came up with this initiative as a fun and practical way of getting more customers to experience the convenience associated with the product”, he added.

 

In further recognition of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited’s superiority, aside the numerous local awards, the bank was adjudged the “Most Innovative Bank of the Year, West Africa” and “Best Online Platform, Ghana” by Banker Africa Awards in 2016.

 

In March this year, GTBank was adjudged “Best Digital Banking – Ghana 2017” from Capital Finance International (cfi), United Kingdom, publisher of the reputable cfi.co, a business, economics and finance magazine in acknowledgement of the bank’s capabilities in the area of electronic banking.
