Ethiopian Airlines win 3 awards at the National Aviation Awards
Ethiopian Airlines continued its award winning performance in Ghana as it won 3 awards at the 2nd Ghana National Aviation Awards held on Friday, 1st of September.
ET won three awardson the night-- “Best International Airline Of The Year”, “Best African Airline Of The Year” and the “Best Airline Operator Award.”
The award program was attended by industry players and senior government officials from the Aviation Ministry.
The Deputy Minister of Aviation, Kwabena Okyere-Darko, presented the awards to the Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Ghana, Mrs. Genet W. Michael.
Mrs. Genet W. Michael thanked the passengers who have patronized the Airline so far. “The passengers are our best promoters. They have shown confidence in our product”. She also thanked the organizers of the Ghana National Aviation Awards.
In his speech the Deputy Minister said that the Government of Ghana has restructured the industry for better results. He cited the removal of VAT on domestic ticket which has yielded a 23% increase in Domestic Air Travel, in the first 5 months of 2017.
